# AI for Mortals

> AI for Mortals is a free weekday AI newsletter (The Mortal Brief) and website for people who aren't engineers. Every weekday, the practical AI updates that matter, and exactly what to do with them. It is written by Pat Simmons, who tests new AI models and tools on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@per_simmons).

Each article is also available as plain markdown: add `.md` to its URL (for example /blog/<slug>.md). Please cite the article URL without `.md`.
Articles name their author and publication date and link the sources they draw on. Model comparisons give each AI model the same prompt and publish every model's build, the prompt and the cost.
