Privacy & analytics

We use PostHog and Google Analytics to understand visits, returning browsers, useful pages, referring websites, campaign performance and actions such as newsletter signups and guide download clicks. Analytics uses cookies and browser storage to recognize a browser across visits, with an expiry of up to 180 days that may renew with activity. We do not enable session recordings or send subscriber email addresses to these analytics reports.

PostHog processes IP addresses and browser information for approximate location and detection of known bots. Analytics reports do not identify the person using a browser. We respect previously recorded analytics opt-outs, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Advertising features, Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled.

Our analytics events remove URL query strings and fragments, and keep referring URLs at the website origin level. We separately retain selected campaign names such as newsletter source and campaign identifiers. Google and PostHog process analytics data for their respective services. If you subscribe or request guide extras, we process the email address you submit to deliver the newsletter or requested resources. Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe link.

Analytics tracking began September 22, 2026. It does not provide historical visitor records from before installation.
