Changelog
October 2026
- New feature
Fireflies now joins X calls: users paste the call link and Fireflies joins, then delivers notes, action items and a recap.
What this means for you: Fireflies can now sit in on calls held on X. Paste the call link and Fireflies (the assistant is called Fred) joins, then gives you notes, action items and a recap when the call ends.
Why it matters: It follows the Zoom one-click invite and auto-join that Fireflies added on Oct 27, so the assistant now covers one more place where your calls happen.
How to use it: Open Fireflies at app.fireflies.ai, then paste the link to your X call.
I use Fireflies to record meetings and just learned it can now join calls held on X when I paste the call link. Help me set up a routine for this: what to do before the call, what to check afterward, and how to share the recap. My calls are usually about: [topic].
- New feature
Fireflies added a Surface App for Zoom that lets users invite Fireflies to a call in one click and set it to auto-join future meetings.
What this means for you: If you run many Zoom calls, you can invite the Fireflies note-taker from inside the meeting in one click. You can also have it join your future meetings on its own, so you don't invite it each time.
How to use it: In Zoom, add the Fireflies Surface App. Then invite Fireflies to the call in one click and turn on auto-join for future meetings. New users can start at app.fireflies.ai/login.
I run many Zoom calls and just learned Fireflies can join them automatically through its Zoom Surface App. Help me set up a simple routine: which recurring meetings should have it auto-join, which should not, and how to tell attendees. My regular meetings are: [list meetings].
- New feature
Fireflies added a Gem integration that puts meeting summaries and action items into the right candidate's record for recruiters.
What this means for you: If you recruit with Gem, Fireflies now puts your meeting summaries and action items into the right candidate's record for you. You no longer copy them in by hand after an interview.
How to use it: Get started at fireflies.ai/integrations/applicant-tracking-system/gem.
I'm a recruiter who uses Gem and Fireflies. Fireflies can now add meeting summaries and action items to the right candidate's record in Gem. Help me plan a simple routine for after each interview: what I should check in the summary, and what follow-ups to confirm. My interview types are: [list].
- New feature
Fireflies added a Snowflake integration that sends meeting data to a user's own Snowflake account for querying.
What this means for you: Your Fireflies meeting data (the notes and action items from your calls) can be sent to your own Snowflake account. Snowflake is a cloud data storage service, and once the data is there, you or your data team can query it, meaning ask questions of it, alongside your other business data.
Why it matters: It comes eight days after Fireflies set a default summary template in AI Settings on Oct 6, and a few weeks after AskFred answers became shareable as public links on Sep 25. Both earlier changes were about shaping or sharing what your meetings produce.
How to use it: Set it up from the integration page: fireflies.ai/integrations/storage/snowflake. You need your own Snowflake account.
Fireflies.ai can now send my meeting data to my own Snowflake account so it can be queried. Help me figure out what questions I could answer with it, such as tracking action items or topics across calls. My team does this: [describe your team and meetings]. Suggest 5 useful questions and what data each one needs.
