Changelog

October 2026

  1. Availability

Antigravity's agentic capabilities are now available inside Android Studio for developers building Android apps.

What this means for you: Developers who build Android apps can now use Antigravity's agent features inside Android Studio, the tool they already write those apps in.

  2. New feature

Antigravity added a plugins marketplace that makes it easier to search for and discover customizations.

What this means for you: Antigravity now has a plugins marketplace, a place inside the app where you can search for and browse customizations other people have made, instead of hunting for them elsewhere.

  3. New model

Antigravity added Gemini 4 Argon, a frontier model for complex software engineering, rolling out to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the app and CLI.

What this means for you: Gemini 4 Argon is a new Google AI model made for complex software engineering work. You can use it inside the Antigravity app and the Antigravity CLI (a version you type commands into). Google reports that on its own codebases it brought a 35% increase in agentic code and a 30% decrease in post-submit rollbacks.

How to use it: It is rolling out now to Google AI Ultra subscribers. Try it in the Antigravity app or the Antigravity CLI.

September 2026

  1. New feature

Antigravity 2.0 added a dedicated planning mode, started with /plan, where the agent researches and drafts a plan for approval before executing.

  2. New feature

Antigravity SDK can now run open models like Gemma 4 offline on a local GPU, using Google AI Edge's LiteRT.

  3. New feature

Antigravity added a new permissions system with an improved sandbox that runs commands automatically without network access by default, on macOS and Linux.

  4. New model

Antigravity added Gemini 3.8 Flash, a model built for long-horizon coding and autonomous agents.

August 2026

  1. New feature

Antigravity added /boost, a command that makes the agent reason more deeply on complex tasks, for Pro and Ultra subscribers in Antigravity 2.0 and the CLI.

  2. New model

Antigravity added Gemini 3.5 Transcribe, a speech-to-text model that uses screen context and chat history, with permission, for voice input.

  3. New feature

Antigravity can now create interactive generative UI artifacts, such as data visualizations and 3D simulations, shown inline and in the artifacts panel.

  4. Availability

Antigravity is now available inside Apple's Xcode 27 beta 6 or later, for building across macOS, iOS and iPadOS.

  5. New feature

Antigravity updated its Git version control and embedded terminal, so users can run commands, view diffs, stage files and commit from the side panel.
