Changelog

October 2026

  1. New feature

Google AI Studio now supports XR Blocks, letting users build interactive 3D extended reality apps from a prompt, with hand tracking and tabletop physics.

What this means for you: Google AI Studio can now build extended reality (XR) apps from a single typed prompt. XR means interactive 3D experiences you can reach out and touch. The apps can follow your hand and pinch gestures, use tabletop and wall physics from the real world, and make 360° 3D holograms from text or photos.

Google AI Studio can now build interactive 3D extended reality apps from one prompt, with hand tracking, pinch gestures, tabletop physics and 3D holograms from text or photos. Help me write a clear first prompt for an app about [idea], and list the details I should include. My audience is [audience].

  2. Availability

Google AI Studio now lets Google AI Pro subscribers build with Gemini 4 Argon in Build and Playground.

What this means for you: If you pay for Google AI Pro, you can now use Gemini 4 Argon in Google AI Studio. You can use it in Build, where you describe an app and it makes it, and in Playground, where you try the model directly.

Why it matters: It arrives three days after Google announced Gemini 4 Argon on Oct 13.

How to use it: Subscribe to Google AI Pro, then open ai.studio/build and choose Build or Playground.

I have Google AI Pro and can now build with Gemini 4 Argon in Google AI Studio's Build tool. Help me write a clear first prompt for a simple app that does [what I need]. Ask me any questions you need, then give me the final prompt to paste in.
