- New feature
Airtable raised the Find Records automation limit from 1,000 to 4,000, added run-automation buttons to interface list and grid pages, and made record comments searchable.
What this means for you: Automations that use Find Records can now work with up to 4,000 records, up from 1,000. Run automation buttons now sit on interface list and grid pages, so you can start an automation from the page where you are working. Comments on a record are also searchable now.
Why it matters: It follows 15 updates on Oct 19 and 11 updates on Oct 9, part of a steady run of smaller changes to Airtable's core.
How to use it: The changes are in Airtable now. The full list is at airtable.com/whatsnew.
I use Airtable and just learned that Find Records in automations now handles up to 4,000 records, interface list and grid pages can have run automation buttons, and record comments are searchable. Help me find where these could save me time. My base tracks: [describe base] and my routine tasks are: [list tasks].

- New feature
Airtable MCP is now generally available, letting users connect AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to build automations, interfaces and schema.
What this means for you: Airtable MCP lets you connect AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to your Airtable data. Through that connection, the AI tool can build automations, interfaces and schema (the structure of your tables and fields). MCP is a standard way to plug an AI tool into another app.
Why it matters: It arrives in the same week Airtable released Omni 2.0 on Oct 26 and opened Canvas in beta on Oct 27, which also build things from descriptions.
How to use it: Airtable MCP is now generally available, meaning it is out of testing. Connect it to Claude or ChatGPT using the link in Airtable's post: https://bit.ly/4zQjEmg.
My team keeps its data in Airtable, and I just learned Airtable MCP lets Claude or ChatGPT build automations, interfaces and schema. Help me plan what to ask for first: which automation to set up, what an interface should show, and how to structure my tables. My base tracks: [describe your data].
- New feature
Airtable's audit log now attributes every action to a person, an agent or an integration, with beta access available through a waitlist.
What this means for you: Airtable's audit log, the record of who did what, now shows whether each action was done by a person, an agent (an AI that acts on its own) or an integration (a connected app). You can tell a teammate's edit from an AI's edit.
Why it matters: Airtable has been adding agent features, including Omni 2.0 on Oct 26, which builds automations from a sentence. The audit log now shows which actions those agents take.
How to use it: Join the waitlist for beta access at https://bit.ly/4zUjk67.
My team uses Airtable and its audit log now labels each action as done by a person, an agent or an integration. Help me write a short checklist for reviewing the log each month and spotting anything unexpected. Our base is used for [purpose] by [number] people.
- Launch
Airtable Canvas is in open beta, letting users describe an app, dashboard or presentation, apply their brand system and trace elements to their data.
What this means for you: Airtable Canvas lets you describe an app, dashboard or presentation in words and get it built, with no dragging, dropping or coding. You can apply your brand system, and click any element to trace it back to your data.
How to use it: Canvas is in open beta. Get started at https://bit.ly/3U3RtBj.
I keep [type of data] in Airtable and want to try Canvas, which builds an app, dashboard or presentation from a description, applies my brand system and traces elements back to my data. Help me write a clear description for a [dashboard, app or presentation] for [audience]. My fields are: [list fields].
- New model
Airtable released Omni 2.0 on every plan, which turns messy spreadsheets and PDFs into working bases and builds automations from a sentence.
What this means for you: Omni 2.0 is Airtable's AI helper. You hand it messy spreadsheets and PDFs and it gives back a working base, which is an Airtable database. You can describe an automation in one sentence, or ask what your feedback data says to fix next quarter.
Why it matters: It follows the Oct 6 upgrade of the Omni agent in AI Labs, which made it faster and let it build bases from spreadsheets.
How to use it: Omni 2.0 is on every Airtable plan. Open it from any base.
Airtable's Omni 2.0 can turn messy spreadsheets and PDFs into a working base and build an automation from a one-sentence description. Help me prepare. I have [describe spreadsheets or PDFs]. Suggest what tables and fields the base should have, and write three automation sentences I could give Omni.
- New feature
Airtable shipped 15 updates including automation triggers, Kanban calculations, bulk downloads, locked grid elements and restored arrow key behavior.
What this means for you: Airtable's newest batch of 15 small fixes and additions touches several everyday parts of the app. Automations get new ways to be triggered, Kanban views can now do calculations, files can be downloaded in bulk, grid elements can be locked in place, and the arrow keys behave the way they used to.
Why it matters: This is the third update bundle in about two and a half weeks, after 11 updates on Oct 9 and a bundle on Oct 2.
How to use it: Airtable lists all 15 updates at bit.ly/4dNZrFm.
I use Airtable and just learned Kanban views can now do calculations. Help me decide what to calculate in a Kanban view of my [project, orders, or content] base. Suggest which fields to total or count for each column and how to read the results. My base has these fields: [list fields].
- New feature
Airtable shipped 11 updates including separate Add and Delete permissions, a calendar week start day setting, copyable comment links and emoji support.
- New feature
Airtable upgraded its Omni agent in AI Labs so it runs faster and builds bases from spreadsheets, automations and pages from descriptions.
- Pricing
Airtable increased the automations cap on every plan and shipped six further updates in the same bundle.
September 2026
