Changelog
October 2026
- New feature
Rodin added Agentic Mode to WorldGen, which turns a single image into a full editable 3D scene with lighting, materials and separate object meshes.
What this means for you: Rodin's WorldGen can now take one image and build a complete 3D scene from it, with lighting, materials and a separate mesh (a 3D shape file) for each object. All of it stays editable, so you can keep refining it.
Why it matters: It extends Agentic Mode, which Rodin (Hyper3D) introduced in beta on Sep 21 for editable 3D models for CAD, buildings and products, and now brings it to scene building.
I want to try Rodin's WorldGen, which turns a single image into an editable 3D scene with lighting, materials and separate object meshes. Help me pick or describe a good source image and plan how to refine the scene afterward. My project is [game, design or other project] and the scene I need is [describe scene].
- New feature
Rodin added a browser-based real-time path tracing viewer for million-polygon AI-generated 3D assets, with PBR materials and denoising.
What this means for you: Rodin now has a viewer in your web browser that shows AI-generated 3D models with realistic lighting, even models with a million polygons (the small flat shapes that build a 3D surface). It uses path tracing, which simulates how light bounces, so you can look closely at details such as materials. The models use PBR materials, which describe how surfaces like metal or fabric look in light.
How to use it: The viewer is built into Hyper3D.AI. It runs in your browser using WebGPU, and the denoising step cleans up the image as it renders.
I make 3D models with Rodin and just learned Hyper3D.AI has a browser viewer with real-time path tracing and PBR materials. Help me make a checklist for inspecting a model closely: what to look at in materials, surface detail and lighting. My model is: [describe the model].
- New feature
Rodin extended 3D Edit with Texture Partial Redo, letting users box an area of a texture they dislike and redo only that part.
September 2026
- New feature
Rodin released Agent Bang, which lets users split 3D models into parts by describing them in natural language.
- New feature
Rodin (Hyper3D) added Agentic Mode in beta, which builds editable N-gon 3D models for CAD, buildings and products, with adjustable dimensions and animation.
- Launch
Rodin (Hyper3D) launched Hyper3D MCP, which lets users generate 3D models by pasting a prompt into Codex, with bonus credits and a discount.
