I built this so you can describe a video to Claude like a director and get back a prompt you can paste straight into Higgsfield. It writes prompts for Seedance 2.0, ByteDance's AI video model, which you can use through Higgsfield, Dreamina, CapCut, Arcads or the API.
It's based on the Seedance 2.0 launch videos and checked against the official prompting docs. It was inspired by Rourke Heath's video prompt builder, but I rebuilt it from scratch and dropped the planning sections, because only the shot timeline actually goes into Seedance.
What it does
- Gives you the paste-ready prompt by default, without extra planning notes.
- Follows a 6-part formula: subject, action, environment, camera, style and constraints.
- Applies the Seedance rules: one camera move per shot, one action per shot, lighting first, and no unqualified "fast."
- Includes templates for four product ad formats: hands-only UGC, character testimonial, product hero close-up and before-and-after.
- Tells you which files to upload as @Image1 and so on, plus the duration and aspect ratio to use.
How it works
- You describe the video in plain English.
- Claude reads the brief and, if it's too vague, asks one clarifying question.
- It breaks longer videos into timed beats and loads extra guidance only when needed, such as product ads, camera moves or character consistency.
- It returns the prompt. You paste it into Higgsfield, upload any referenced images and hit generate.
What you need
- Claude Desktop or claude.ai with Skills
- Access to Seedance 2.0 through Higgsfield, Dreamina, CapCut, Arcads or the API
Install it
- Download seedance-prompt-builder.skill from the GitHub repo.
- In Claude Desktop or claude.ai, open Settings, then Customize, then Skills. Click +, choose Upload a skill and pick the file.
- It switches on by itself whenever you ask for a Seedance video, a product ad or a video prompt.

Good to know
- Seedance blocks uploads of photos with identifiable real faces. The skill works around this with stylized character sheets, hands-only shots and similar framing.
- Seedance has no true negative prompts, so the skill phrases guardrails as positive instructions.
