Opus 5.5 vs Fable 5.1 vs GPT-6 Astra
All three models got the same prompts for three builds, with no revisions and every build deployed live.
On this page
The three builds were Moby Dick scenes drawn entirely in code in a risograph print style, a remake of Anthropic's Opus 5.5 launch film and press page with every sound made in code, and a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater clone with the skater modeled in Blender. All three models ran on high effort, and each one worked out its API-equivalent cost from its own session logs.
Opus 5.5 won all three. Its Moby Dick scenes had the most detailed characters and settings, down to the preacher climbing the chapel ladder. Its launch film came closest to Anthropic's, with frames that rotate as they cut and a reverb hit on the logo reveal, though none of the three models got the sound design right. In the skate game, its skater looked the most realistic, and your speed builds on the ramps the way it does in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
Opus was also the slowest. It took about an hour and 20 minutes on the Moby Dick build, against an hour for Fable and 26 minutes for Astra, and about two hours on the skate game. Astra is still my pick for everyday work like big refactors and multi-step site architecture, because it is methodical and rarely needs a correction.

So, I just gave the exact same prompt to Claude Oops 55, Claude Fable 5.1, and GBT6 Astra across three builds. An animated storybook built entirely with code and no image generation. A launch film where every sound effect is made from code. And a Tony Hawks Pro Skater clone. We've got the same rules for all three models, one prompt, no revisions, deployed live to the internet. Here we go.
Another head-to-head. Let's see how Opus 55 competes. And we'll jump right into the build. And we've got the three respective harnesses for each of these. We got fable 5.1 on the left, GBT6 Astra in the middle, Opus 55 on the right, all on high effort level, and we're just going to say /go follow this prompt. Do not stop until complete.
Do the same thing for Astra and Opus. So, we've got that first build kicked off. And let me show you exactly what is in this prompt. MD. So, this is what we're saying. It is Moby Dick in code.
So, the goal here is to generate different scenes from the greatest American novel Moby Dick and do it without any sort of image generation. So it's all going to be done with code and I want this kind of risograph style. So I got this idea from this guy Kevin Go who is a great follow by the way but he made this website with 25 mini rooms each with Claude keeping people company. And so it's this risographic style and he says in the comment here it's all JavaScript in one HTML file. No images, fonts or libraries. Every room person and ink dot is drawn in code.
Really cool. So I want to see how well the models do in drawing this in code. This is done with Opus 5 and you can see just how detailed it is. I love all these little rooms, all these little characters moving around. I saw this and this is where I got the Moby Dick idea. So, it's really cool.
So, I want library of Moby Dick scenes and I want those scenes playing out with different characters and then I want an ability to actually pop up some quotes from that specific chapter. So, that is the reference. Here's more of the prompt to I just get into the details around actually looking at Kevin's version. He gave a Verscell link. So we have some good references and I just give parameters around what should be generated. One HTML file and then I want a small overlay with a chapter card and one script.
No images simulated risograph print. I just keep going on and on. Reminder that all these prompts will be available in the blog post below as well as these live links once these are generated. With that, let's have these models just continue to build and I will check in. I'll also of course be giving costs and time it takes for each one of these. 24 minutes in the models are making progress.
I'm seeing stuff. Here's a peek at a generation. I don't know what model it is. Looking good so far. Okay, in 26 minutes, Astra has completed 16 animated scenes. We'll open it in a second.
Just give these other two models a chance to finish up as well. Okay, 46 minutes in. Opus and Fable are still running. Looks like they're just doing a final QA pass. Both these generations are looking very similar, so this one might be close, but we'll see once we actually click around in the website. Okay, so Fable just finished up in about an hour.
Opus was still running. And of course, I just hit my usage limits. So, we're going to wait about 30 minutes for this to reset and finish this up. Okay, Opus finished about 10 minutes after Fable after my usage limits reset. So, let's take a look at these first. Let's start with Astra just cuz it finished first.
We're going to open this here. Just copy this. Paste in our browser here. And okay, I don't know why it's on local host. I told Astra to deploy. So, I'm just going to say that not cheating here.
Please deploy to Verscell. Didn't I give you instructions on how to do that? Okay, let's take a look at Astra's build here of our Moby Dick Risograph. First impressions, I mean, this is pretty cool. Uh, as I zoom in, okay, yeah, starts to come into view, we have these dots actually kind of like pulsating. I don't know if that's intentional.
Oh, yeah, I guess it is. Gives it sort of a blip book type experience. Then we have each of these scenes. So, can I click these scenes? And then, yeah, the characters, I mean, if I'm getting picky, it did a pretty good job. They're pretty realistic.
They're uh the movement isn't realistic, but I mean, granted, it's just generating all of these dots with code. What are these different colors? Can I click into these to reveal the story? Uh, it doesn't look like it. That was like the one thing I asked for. So, come on, Astra.
We've got some scenes here. There's the white whale. Wish I could remember some of these scenes. Oh, there's Que. So, this is probably at the Spouter Inn. Uh, there's the chapel.
Classic. Oh, the chapel looks pretty good. Nice detail in the chapel. Look at that little cross there. The preacher on the chapel. Even though the stairs look a little funky, but does kind of look like an old old school chapel.
There's Qui Qu and Ishmamail. This is a pretty good job. Looks cool. Characters. Maybe they could be more realistic. This test might be kind of tough.
It might be close. We'll get kind of nitpicky here with these other generations and see how well the models did just graphics-wise and everything else. So, let's take a look at Fables now. Uh where is the link? Okay, they all didn't deploy to Verscell for some reason. Not cheating.
We're just going to tell them to deploy to Verscell. Do you have the instructions? And I've already hit usage limits on Fable. I was at like 30% starting this build. So, that sucked up a lot of Fable usage. However, I think I have a reset.
So, I'm going to use that now. Yeah. Okay. It looks like I can reset. Reset for free. See if this works.
Heck yeah. All right. Boom. We're back. All right. Links are live.
Let's take a look at Fable's version. Okay. Yeah. Similar similar. Okay. the the the walking is a little bit better.
We're going to have to get really picky here. Nice. We've got the chapters. That's much better. The walking is more realistic. I do like the characters just a little bit better.
You can see they're a little bit more realistic. And then the chapters actually show up, which is a nice touch. I don't know how. Okay, chapter one. And then I go here. Is it going to change chapter 2 somehow?
Okay. Not a little funky. A little funky. Where's chapter 2? Do I have to click somewhere? Okay.
Yeah. So, sometimes it works here. Nope. Oh, there we go. Okay. You just got to get it locked in.
Okay. The spout end pretty good. Got some weird characters here. Not a bad spatter in risograph recreation. There's the chapel. Uh chapel could have been a little bit better.
Okay. They do have the ladder cuz I think that's in the book. So, that's why there's a ladder there. Chapel could have been a little bit better. ChatbT did a better job. There's Quagon.
Ishmail in the room together boarding the Pquad and a bunch of other scenes. Yeah. I mean, this again might not have been the best test, but I mean, the fact that the models can even do this is just incredible. It looks so good. It really is. If you think about just an ability to do this from an art perspective, too.
Again, this is no image generation, anything like that. This is all code. And then, so I really do like when we actually get the chapters. Okay. The Grand Armada for suspended in those watery faults loaded the forms of the nursing mothers of the whales. It's actually really cool.
Kind of a cool way to like learn Moby Dick, too. Again, I love this as like a teaching tool for students, too. I mean, you can do this with any chapters. You can just take this prompt and say, "Hey, we're reading, you know, To Kill a Knocking Bird." And it do the same kind of thing and just helps to visualize the actual chapters and you can make it as interactive as you'd like. So, pretty good pass from Fable.
I'd say that's my favorite so far. And then now, let's take a look at Opus 55's version. Here it is. Opus 55. Okay. Yeah, it's already looking much more detailed.
Oh, wow. Jeez, look how detailed these characters are. Oh my god. It's almost kind of weird. Wow. The movement's a little funky, but look at the way they're walking.
Uh jeez, look at the chapel. Wow. Even got the preacher going up the ladder. Again, the movement isn't great, but still, the fact that it did this, that is incredible. Look how detailed the chapel is. Wow.
Look at New Bedford. Bringing these just these random spectators. Jeez, it did such a good job. It's amazing the way it like drew this. Wow. You could really get crazy with this.
You can do this with like pointalism or impressionism. If it can do this with a risograph, I'm assuming it can do it with other pieces of art. Pretty pretty amazing. Look how detailed the spouter in is. Jeez. And then, hey, we got the nice whale swimming around.
That is a nice touch. And some more. Wow, this is amazing. Yeah, I really didn't think it was going to get that much better, but it went over the top. Look at the whales. There's Ishmail and Quiqu.
Wow. Geez. Okay, Opus clearly won that one. Reminder that all the prompts and the live links to each of these are in the blog post below. So, Opus, wow. Just without a doubt winner there.
Reminder that Opus ran for about an hour and 20 minutes. Fable ran for an hour. Asher ran for 26 minutes. And then let's take a look at cost as well. So there's no clear way to show costs. I'm having an agent right now find costs for each one of these because they kind of overlap with my same cloud subscription for Fable and for Opus, but I think in the logs we can see the input tokens and output tokens for each one of these to see what the cost would have been for Opus 55 versus Fable 5.1.
And then I'm doing the same thing on the Astra side. Reminder too that I'm on the 20X subscriptions for both Chat GBT and Claude. And then as far as usage goes on Astra, I started about 95% usage and it dropped it down to 81%. So about 14% usage on my 20x plan. So I'm just going to ask them directly, can you calculate your API equivalent pricing from your own session logs for this build? Again, if anyone in the comments knows a better way to do this, please let me know.
But I think it's the only way to see API equivalent pricing. Okay. Again, and take these with a grain of salt, but Fable is saying $42 for this build. Astra is saying 620 for the build or I guess $2 more dollars for the actual deployment. Not sure why. And then Opus 55 is saying 25 for the build.
So that was a good creative exercise for the models. We're going to continue that theme of creativity. This time having the models create an entire video from scratch. What we are going to do is we're going to have the models recreate Opus 55's launch video and their website. So I love the way they put this together. It's really just static images, but the sound is good.
We've got these nice like kind of microscopic close-ups and then this text comes in. I just thought it was simple but really cool and something that the models I think could do really well. So, what I'm having the models do is they're going to generate each one of these images and they're just going to come up with images that are similar to this video and they're going to write those prompts and build this out with GBT image genen. Then they're going to stitch together a video, add sound design, and then they're also going to build out a website that is a clone of the Opus 55 press release. So, I love this text flying in. I love when you can scroll here.
Kind of like moves out and then you scroll down. So, I want to do the same thing. And then below that, they're going to embed the video that they just made. All right, so we're going to kick each of these off with a slash goal. Say read the prompt MD do not stop until everything is complete. We'll do the same thing in Astra and the same thing in Opus 55.
All again are running on high effort level. We'll let these build and then check in. Little peek at a generation from Fable. Looks like Fable is already done and it's inserting into the website. Astra is doing a first visual pass. 20 second rendered video and then Opus created about 35 shots.
It's building the text right now in the actual frame render. This is going quicker than I thought. 26 minutes in, Fable is complete. Same with Astra. Looks like the video is done. deployed live to the website.
So, we'll take a look at this in a second once Opus finished up. All right, Opus 55 is completed as well. About 40 minutes. So, we'll see how Fable did with our website and video. Okay, here we go. Oh, look at this.
That's actually pretty darn good. Wow. Even got some moving grain here. That's pretty impressive. Introducing. Okay, so as I start scrolling, uh, look at it go.
Just for reference, here is Oops. Five's version. Look at that. That's pretty close. Introducing. Introducing.
And then let's scroll. Okay, so we've got this nice reveal here, but then the sound design. That's aggressive. Not good. Not good. And then it just kind of moves very fast when you scroll down.
I do like this kind of parting here. And then h just tough sound design. And scroll down. We'll play the film. And And then there's all sorts of these weird sound effects. You scroll.
I don't know why it thought to add sound effects in the website. Don't love the design either. I want it to look more like ods press release. I mean, it didn't need to get fancy with it or anything, but yeah, even though like the one up here, I don't know why it's a one at the top. And then I just can't stand these lines here. Dead AI giveaway.
But that being said, let's play the video it made. Play the film. What is it doing? Okay, great, great images. I love the images. I love the texture.
It got the kind of this like arked horizon type thing and then the text animation. Oh goodness. Okay, the sound effects really kind of took away from the video. Uh, there wasn't really a text animation, but that's fine. I do like the concept, but um, let's see how the others did. So, let's take a look at Astra's version.
That was Fable 5.1. As a reminder, okay, a different different kind of concept here. Here's anthropics where it has this nice like paper texture. Astra kind of went its own route, but, you know, not bad. Looks a little bigger paper texture if I'm being picky. Scroll down.
Okay, much more subtle sound design. I must have had sound design in the actual website, which I didn't mean. I just wanted sound design in the video, but that's fine. Still kind of weird sound design. And then it is amazing that this was just generated with code. It's not like you use 11 Labs or found Sound Design online, any stock libraries, anything like that.
I like generated this with code which is amazing that you can do that nowadays but uh it wasn't great. Okay, I do like that. I like it did its own kind of interpretation of the website but nicely done. I like this shot and then of course what is with these Astra loves adding these little arrows to show the links. It's like when has that ever looked good? Anyway, let's just scroll.
We'll play the video in a second. Okay. Yeah, it really did not match the OP 55 press release at all, but whatever. We have a kind of table of contents here. All right. Yeah, you know, it added some images.
Every observation is an opening. Okay. LOM, not to be confused with loom. All right. Let's play the launch video. So this That's tough.
Uh, that's really tough. I I like the the serif font it chose. Very nice. Again, like the images. I mean, clearly these models know how to interpret this this kind of natural images with these nice kind of microscopic close-ups, that's not a problem. And actually stitching them together is not a problem.
Adding text, having it kind of animate slightly and grow and add some texture to the text and make it look like a nice professional saraf font. I I really like this font. However, this sound design is that's tough. That's tough. I don't know if there's a way for it to check its work on the sound design. You really can't do that cuz like the models can't really listen yet.
At least not to my knowledge. I think Google you might be able to. Gemini you might you might be able to do that. So maybe you need like a Gemini QA in there. But um yeah, sound design not great. Website decent.
I would say Fable did a little bit better of a job. But let's take a look at Opus 55. Okay, Opus coming up. Copy this link. Go here. All right.
Uh, closest to anthropics version. Very close. Introducing. Love the font again. Okay. Sound design again.
Kind of tough. Oh god. Terrible. Uh, but the closest to Anthropic again. Look at this. Nice.
A nice reveal. Freaking well done, Opus. Wow. Terra minima. So, it really took this these instructions as to copy it, which is exactly what I wanted. So, you can see just how similar this is.
Let me scroll one more time with Opus introducing scroll reveal. Do this with Opus 55's version. Introducing scroll. Nice text reveal. Okay. That's well done.
Paper texture again getting nitpicky. Looks a little fake, but let's keep scrolling. Okay. Whoa. All right. Some heavy grain there.
Oh, I like this little glassorphism CTA, though. Okay. Let's scroll through the website. Nice. Okay. Wendon just generated some more images.
All right. You know, it's getting some paper texture. It looks like the grain is actually moving. That's kind of a nice touch. Keep scrolling. Shipping in November.
All right. Let's check out the launch video. Watch the sound. Ooh. All right. Wow.
Okay. Okay. Dang. If only Wow, that was okay. That was really well done. If only it got rid of this that whatever that scratchy.
It's trying to do some sort of like paper thing, but it just does not sound like a paper texture. If it just got rid of that does a great job at kind of metronome the little beats, but then it picks up. So, it made a little song and then it does the same kind of thing you'd see in an ad where it goes and then it just just reverb at the end like right here. Boom. And then the logo too. And then it goes back and then and then it just I like that too.
It just repeats. So it goes down and then just starts again and it starts exactly where it ended. Wow. I like the logo revealed too at the end. Okay. Yeah.
Again. Jeez. I can't believe we might have to put Not even close on the thumbnail again. I was really trying to avoid the not Even Close, but Opus clearly beat out Fable and Astra. Take a quick look at Fable and Astra again. Here's Fable's version.
And then the video kind of sucked. Astra, totally different interpretation of this. Wasn't great. And then we have Opus's version. Sound effects aren't great. But everything else, it did a great job.
Only we get that paper texture down. All right, that's pretty cool. I mean, this is a, you know, good learning, too. You can see these models. I mean, they're very good. With these kinds of videos where you're just combining still frames, you're not trying to do any sort of animation.
You can actually get away with a lot if you're just doing that. And even wow, I'm I'm noticing this now. The way it's rotating. Wow. It rotates with so it just kind of match cuts between each of these and it will just rotate. Wow.
That is actually a really nice touch. That is not what the other two did. Just quickly look at this again. There's no rotation or anything. There's no movement. The video player controls it made.
Look at this. It just goes and it's like the earth. Wow. This is actually Jeez. Anyway, I'm going to stop watching that. But pretty cool to see what you can do.
I mean, that was just code being generated. So, few more prompts. You could probably get some good sound design out of that and create a really professional looking video. So, we've got two creative type tasks done. You can see Opus 55 winning out pretty clearly on each one of those. Now, it's time to do some game development.
It wouldn't be a comparison without some kind of video game development. And here we are cloning a classic. That is right, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. We're gonna have fun with this one. So, let's go to each of the models and open up a new chat window here. And I'll show you the prompt.
Oh, before I do that, I almost forgot. Cost. Let's ask each of these models how much that build cost. What was your API equivalent cost for this build? Look at the input tokens and the output tokens from the session logs. Paste that in.
And then I'll show you usage as well while they look at this. So, it looks like 3% of Fable 5 was used cuz I just got that reset with that build. And then on the codec side, usage 66% left. I can't even remember. I think it was at like 81. So about 15% used on my 20x plan.
And then Fable 51, $16. Wow. The these seem relatively low. Again, I'm literally just asking the agents exactly to calculate this. So I could be doing this wrong, but $16 for Fable 51. $11 for Opus 55.
And then for Astra $7.96. So that's the cost of each one of these builds with API equivalent pricing. And with that, let's kick off our Tony Pro Skater build/goal. Follow the prompt in prompt.MD we're cloning Tony Huck Pros Skater don't stop till fully functional and looks great. Of course, not totally necessary. Prompt.
MD already says all of that, but just for good measure slashgo here with Astra and then /goal here with oops 55. Change this to fable 51. And then we'll kick each of these off. All these are running on high effort level. And I will check in shortly. And then I almost forgot while it's building.
And let me show you what the prompt is. Again, this will be available to you in the blog post below, but we're getting pretty specific with this. So, we're telling each of the models to use Blender headless with Python. Then, we're going to export it to a real-time 3JS game. The map is going to be the warehouse. I get into details around the actual Blender generation.
I really want this to be realistic. I just wrote this, by the way, with another agent just in brainstorming this. So, I said, how do we get this as realistic as possible? So, the agent did some research beforehand to include some of this terminology to see how close we can get with these 3D assets. So, it's going to create this in Blender, like our skater character, and then we're just going to export this as a GB and then load it into the game. And then there's some Blender extensions that the models can download.
One is called the make human character generator. Again, this is something that an agent just found that could be useful. So, we're asking it to with Python scripts generate an anatomically correct human base mesh with a proper skeleton. And then it's going to once we have the skeleton, it's going to shape, dress, texture, and animate itself for the different movements. And then again, I go on, I just include some requirements. Photo realistic.
We'll see how close it gets with photorealistic. I just don't want it to look, you know, the typical blobby boxy looking. I literally say here, low poly, blocky, capsule limmed or faceless figure. Again, this is not my language. This is an agents and brainstorming with it. And then, yeah, I just keep going on and on.
And then the warehouse, we get this layout here. Game feel, kicks and pushes, all the physics, and then just QAing it. two-minute run with goal just to define what the goal is. So, it has some sort of objective measurement when it tests this game itself. Again, all of that will be in the prompt in the blog post below. We'll see how these models do.
Yeah, not sure what's going on here, but Opus is generating images of a of a person. I think I gave it GBD image gen skills, but uh yeah, so I guess it's going to take this person and then mock them up in Blender. Well, we will see. So, Fable seems to be really humming. All All these models seem to be going very fast right now. Gameplay finished for Astra in 10 minutes.
Astra's already got something going on here. And Fable's already generating the player in Blender. At 30 minutes in, models are still running. Astra seems to be in the front of the pack. Let's just quickly look at some images of what it generated. It's pretty good.
I don't want to spoil it, but that's pretty good. Wow, that looks that looks so realistic. We'll see how the gameplay is. That is pretty impressive. Let's look at a couple other images. Why not?
Okay. Uh, yeah, it looks a little weird, but hey, I mean, it's trying to get a photo realalistic character, so I guess so. Not sure what's going on with the hair. Is that those cornrows or what? Okay, kind of a weird fall, but all right. Skateboard looks a little strange.
Just a little preview. Fable is moving along, too. We've got a generation again. Weird like kind of cornrow thing it's doing. I don't know why, but I mean, look at the actual ramp. Look at that attention to detail.
Man, these models are progressing. This looks great. 43 minutes in and yeah, these models are getting into the particulars. Babel saying, "The test run cleared all assets but failed a grind due to random balance. So, I'll make grind balance more forgiving." Meanwhile, Astro looks to be almost done.
Live side is working. I verified movement, a scored kick flip, pause, and restart. Thing seems to be passing. And then we have Opus 55 working on the grip tape of the board when it's generating this in Blender. You got to love the attention to detail. Let's see how it actually turns out.
All right. 48 minutes in and Astra has finished our Tony Pro Skater clone. We'll give Fable and Opus some more time. 56 minutes in, we have Fable complete as well. Opus again lagging behind. Funny, that was the timing for each one of these builds.
So, we'll give Opus some more time to finish up here and then compare all three of these. All right, in about 2 hours, Opus 55 has finished. So, all the models have finished our Tony Hawk Pros Skater clone. Let's take a look at Astra's version first. This link here opening the warehouse. Okay, there's that fun little icon again.
Just can't help it. Hey, at least it didn't do a four screen color palette. That's a nice touch. You know, it's still still had to stick to the green. Okay, freekate versus drop in. Okay, let's try drop in.
Why is it giving coordinates? Who knows? These models just feel like they have to add superolous information sometimes. Okay, let's try the drop in. All right. Uh, our guy kind of realistic, a little, you know, graphics aren't great down here.
Little fake looking. Feel like it could have done better. Anyway, let's check out the actual gameplay. Drop in here. Oh. Oh, yeah.
Okay. How do I You can turn. Nice. Nice. Wow. This is This is really smooth.
Not going to be great at this. How do I restart? Okay. It's a little tough with these controls. Oh. Um, this is really impressive.
I mean, even a couple models ago, they weren't even getting close to this. So, it's pretty amazing. Let's I want to drop in again. I remember this drop in from Tony Crosgator, too. So, fact that it included that with like the glass break. That's really nice.
Let's just try I just want to like H I don't know if I'm not playing the game properly or you can't really like properly rotate. That's a little funky. Wow. That I I do really like the physics though. It feels like you're really flying around. And then I don't know how to grind their controls.
Okay. Ollie. So grab. Interesting. So oie grind. Grind is L.
Okay. These controls are kind of tough. It's much easier to do this on the PlayStation or Xbox. L. I got to Oh, there we go. Look at that.
All right. That's That's pretty cool. Okay, let's try grinding one more time. This is really fun. Again, look at this. Okay, session complete.
I guess he just completes the session. Let's do one more run. Let's try a flip. J. Oh, look at that. Try one more time.
Let me show this. It's a kick flip. Look at that. Not exactly realistic, but the fact that it even flipped the board is pretty cool. One more time. Look at this.
Flip. Flip. You just kind of land every time on the flip. Wow. I could play this game nonstop. And then grab.
Let's try grab real quick. Okay. Yeah, you kind of you kind of do a little grab. I mean, yeah. Okay. This is really good.
And then we have like warehouse goals. This is really quite fun. So there's Astra's version. Well done Astra. Let's see if Fable and Opus are any better to Fable's version. Okay.
JX are flip tricks. Wow, this is complex. KBL Y. Okay. Press enter. Start escape.
Okay. Um, yeah, different. Review the warehouse. The the hands are Come on. Did it really not notice the fix the hands? The the like actual body is a little better.
There's a little bit more detail that Astra miss, but what are we doing with the hands? Come on. And the actual park. I mean, look at the lighting. Look at the texture of the ramps. Okay.
Yeah. The like flipping. That's a little bit more realistic. The actual like physics of the skating feels a little smoother. The bells The bells aren't great. These hands are hilarious.
Okay, let's try to Oh, yeah. You really get some air. So, okay. Darn. Not great at this. Let's grind.
Oh, look at that. I'm just pressing buttons. Look at this. Okay. Yeah, I like the Oh, wow. The actual flips.
Flips are much better. Look at that. Even though realistically like he would be not landing those flips every time until scooter. But look at this. Boom. Boom.
Boom. Very cool. Look at that. Pretty cool. Pretty cool. Getting the hang of it.
I just don't know how to grind. I guess you just kind of jump on the rail to grind. Let's see. Ah, okay. I think Fable did a little bit better of a job. Look at this.
Just grinding random stuff. Just press a bunch of buttons. I think it's a little bit more detailed. I like the the tricks. I like how you just get more air. Uh it's a little weird the the legs like to actually kick push the board.
It looks like it's like stopping the board. You're trying to stop the board, which is weird. But yeah, I think Fable did a better job. I mean, just look at the detail. Like again, the lighting, the character is very odd, but the actual ramp texture. You see like the nails in the ramp.
It's really impressive. All right, so let's take a look at Opus version. Copy this link. Open it up. Keyboard. Looks like we got a game pad, too.
I think it matched. Yeah, it looks like it's Xbox and PlayStation. So, I guess you could plug this in if you wanted to and use an actual PlayStation controller, which I don't have, but that's pretty cool. We've got Yes, similar controls. All right, let's press enter. Okay, graphics-wise, it looks pretty similar to Fable.
We have kind of like that exposed wood ramps look very realistic. Got some nice lighting, even like the window panes here, like light coming through the window. That's really nice. We got some graffiti here. Yeah, this is uh this is pretty well done. And I like the character, too.
It definitely looks like the most realistic character generation. Little bit better than Fable, much better than Astra. Uh but let's actually see gameplay. Okay, just press W. Nice kick push. Oo, nice little drop in.
It's pretty cool. Okay. Oh, I like the ramp. Is it going to Oh, nice. Okay. Tough tough to control, but I mean the graphics, yeah, they are really good.
Even like the lighting of the like you have this different shades of lighting on concrete. Not good at this. It would actually be funny. Hook up the PlayStation controller and just play this. I may do that. And then let's check grinding.
What's What is grind again? Remember J. Oh, that's a kick flip K maybe. Yeah, let's keep doing the figure here. Maybe. Oh, maybe L.
Try it again. There it is. Oh, okay. Wow. That Yeah, that's like kind of the realistic Tony Hawks grinding where you have to keep it steady. I don't even know.
Okay. Yeah. Nice. That's cool. That's cool. Kick flip.
Oh, that's cool. That's really cool. Wow. It nailed that. The other one I can't remember who's Astro favorite. It had like you just kind of stayed steady on the grind.
You didn't have to control it or anything. And then the other thing I'm noticing too is on this ramp, I was thinking this as I was playing the other ones. Your momentum, it looks like it speeds up as you keep going. Exactly like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, which is a really nice touch. Look at that drop in. That's cool.
Or whatever that's called. the the flip. Okay, they're dropping in a second time. Cool. I'm going to go back to the ramp here. See if this is actually true.
Do pick up momentum. Certainly looks like it. Yeah. Whoa. Oh, what? That's cool.
And now I'm just up here. Okay. Tough. Tough. All right. Can I jump off this?
Look at that. Very cool. Uh yeah, once again um really good. Yeah, Opus just yet again better than the other two models. I of course will let you be the judge. Reminder that all the links are available in the blog post below, but let's just do a quick cost run on this and then we'll wrap up.
Okay, costs Fable 51 $32. Astra $44 and Opus a little bit longer. Yeah, because it did run quite a bit longer. 2 hours that's $58. So there we go. Opus 55 across the board seems to be the clear winner.
the riograph generations of Moby Dixen, the launch video generation, and all those subtle little things like rotating the images for each frame, even adding the reverb at the end for the logo reveal and doing that all in code. And then all those extra details, too, and just more realistic gameplay in the Tony Hawk Pro Skater game. So, I honestly hate to admit this, but Anthropic h they're back again. I really thought after Astra that there was no beating that model, at least for some time, like at least a few weeks or a month. I mean, these models just they really progressing fast. And to be clear, too, I'm still partial to Astra in my day-to-day.
I will say that, you know, however fun these demonstrations and builds are. I know they're not totally indicative of the more realistic everyday tasks that you would be doing with these models. And I'm definitely still reaching for Astra there. You know, big refactors, large like multi-step site architecture, which I've been doing lately. Even 3D work, I I really like how methodical Astra is. Rarely do I have to come back and say, you know, you did this wrong or have any kind of feedback.
It takes much longer, but it's much more thorough. Whereas Fable 5.1, this still happens all the time where it's way faster, but then it misses all of these things that I ask it to do. But it looks like that's happening much less, if at all. I have yet to see that really with Opus 55. So like I said, if it's close, I will be truthful on the thumbnail, but Opus 55, it clearly wasn't even close yet again, at least for now. So with that, thanks for watching.
One more reminder, all the prompts and the live builds are there for you to play with in the link below. The Tony Hawk Pro Skater game, by the way, may be the most fun I've had in a video game that AI has built. So, I'm excited for you to play that, too. I I want to build that game out in particular even more and get it to a really functional game. So, if you have any feedback specifically for that Tony Proscater game, let me know. Bugs, features, anything you want added and just feedback in general.
I always appreciate all the comments on these builds. So, as always, I appreciate you watching and I'll see you in the next
